CA ForwardThe leading multipartisan government reform organization California Forward asked Common Knowledge to develop a public engagement program to broaden the conversation around tax reform.  Although taxes can be seen as a deeply partisan issue, the regional dialogues and town halls generated common ground that can serve as a platform for more detailed policy development,  The project’s report Discussing Tax Reform was shared with the state’s Commission on the 21st Century Economy.

Also for California Forward, Common Knowledge coordinated an inspiring town hall: Can Local Success Save Our State.  Lessons learned from local innovations in the San Joaquin Valley were used as a stepping off point for contemplating governance reforms that can enhance California’s future.

Common Knowledge recently helped the Immigrant Legal Resource Center evaluate their Spanish language grassroots education campaign to raise awareness about immigration fraud.

California SpeaksAfter asking Common Knowledge to develop the discussion guide and report for an unprecedented statewide dialogue about health care reform with state lawmakers and 3500 Californians, California Speaks also asked us to synthesize the project’s evaluations in this report.

Common Knowledge was pleased to partner with Viewpoint Learning in conducting daylong ChoiceDialogues about the California state budget and governance reform for the bipartisan nonprofit California Forward. As polls continue to highlight public distrust of state government and frustration with partisan gridlock, the project’s report and video highlights demonstrate there is the beginning of consensus for a path forward.

Next 10For the Cool California Collaborative and Next 10, Common Knowledge conducted focus groups to generate insights about Californians’ readiness to use carbon calculators and take steps to reduce their carbon emissions.
